Mark J. Yardley provides jobs to more than 75 people in his $75-million annual business enterprises in and around Beaver, Utah. Mark J. Yardley has owned and operated High Country Land Management since 1987, and today manages motels and filling stations with high-quality convenience stores, as well as construction projects, under multiple brand names.
He is also a proud former coach of the Beaver High School golf team. Over his 15-year tenure, the school participated in five state championship events. Under his direction, the team won multiple state championships, as well as 10 consecutive regional championships.
Beaver High has continued its strong performance in golf. In 2018, the boys’ golf team repeated its 2017 state championship win at the Division 2A level. The 2018 win was the result of the Beavers’ 616-score over the rival Gunnison Bulldogs’ 708. In 2019, the school’s girls’ golf team celebrated winning its first-ever 2A state championship for the blue and white.
Beaver High School’s athletics section additionally offers football, baseball, softball, soccer, and cross-country programs. Students can also participate in drill team and cheer
